Thank you for your support in 2022!

2022 was a great year for the Jess Rousey Honoring Heroes Foundation.  We joined in many volunteer and sponsor roles throughout the year including sponsoring GBI Director Vic Reynold at a business luncheon in Cobb, sponsoring the Paulding Public Safety Run with the Badges event, CCPD Riding with the Blue, sponsoring the Paulding Chamber's public safety luncheon and providing steak dinners to all the public safety heroes working Cobb County's premier community event, National Night Out.  We also held many wonderful events of our own including our highly successful Cars for K9's event and our Hero of the Year public safety gala. You can find out about a few of our highlights in the stories below.  We raised significant funds in our first full year to support our efforts in keeping with our mission of providing support, advocacy and appreciation events for our deserving heroes, agencies and causes. We couldn't have done any of it without the amazing support of our board of directors, our volunteer team, our sponsors, donors, and supporters.  We are grateful to each of you and look forward to presenting even more events and opportunities to give back in 2023!

Cars for K9s 2022
Car Show & Community Festival

The Jess Rousey Honoring Heroes Foundation team would like to thank Hardy Chevrolet Buick GMC for sponsoring through the donation of their space for us to present the 2022 Cars for K9s Car Show and Community Festival on June 25, 2022.  Please see below for the photo album of our event, courtesy of Justin Arndt Media.

We were overwhelmed with the turnout and the support of our mission! We sold out of space with 200 cars in attendance, 80 vendors and sponsors, 8 food trucks, bounce house, DJ, and countless spectators joining the festivities!  We gave out over 50 prizes valued at $100 or more and 25 awards were presented to our top finishers!

With your help we met our goal of raising funding to go towards a new, fallen K9 memorial for the Paulding County Sheriff's Office and enough to make donations to other local K9 units as well!

We can not do what we do without our amazing team of volunteers who donated countless hours of their personal time, sweat and investment into this event. Our foundation is a 501C3 non-profit, led and ran wholely by volunteers. We cannot thank you enough!

Paulding County Sheriff Office
K9 Memorial Dedication

October 12, 2022 was a great morning. All of the hard work that the Jess Rousey Honoring Heroes Foundation, Inc team put into the 2022 Cars for K9 event came to fruition when we unveiled and dedicated the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office new K-9 Memorial Monument today. We are thrilled that our logo is included on the monument so that Jess's name will live in memory along with those of these fantastic heroes for many years to come. We could not be more proud of our team of volunteers and their dedication to our mission and vision of honoring our heroes through appreciation events, support efforts and advocacy. Our mission is truly blessed by all of you and we look forward to continuing to support and give back to those who serve and protect our communities on a daily basis. God Bless All of Our Law Enforcement and First Responders!

2022 Annual Honoring Heroes Public Safety Gala

In October the Jess Rousey Honoring Heroes Foundation, Inc organized and facilitated the 2022 Public Safety Appreciation Gala.

The Jess Rousey Honoring Heroes Foundation, Inc made donations to Cobb Sheriff's Foundation, Inc. for the families of Deputies Ervin and Koleski who were killed in the line of duty in September. We made donations in the amount of $2,500 each to the Austell Police Department and the Powder Springs Police Department K-9 Units which was raised from our Cars for K9s event.

We hosted nearly 200 first responders for a great lunch from Texas Roadhouse Hiram at West Cobb Church which was beautifully decorated by K. Mike Whittle Unique Floral Designs!

We recognized and celebrated 13 individual heroes with our Hero of the Year award along with awards for merit and valor. We also celebrated three elite units for their courageousness and dedication to crime suppression, the Cobb Police Violent Crimes Bureau and the SWAT and CSU teams from Paulding County Sheriff's Office.

Please help us congratulate our 2022 heroes of the year!

Honoring and Remembering Two Heroes

On September 8th, tragedy struck when in a senseless act of cowardice and evil, the Cobb County Sheriff's Office lost two heroes who were killed in the line of duty. We join a community of many mourning the deaths of Deputy Jonathan Koleski and Deputy Marshal Ervin. These heroes will always have the heartfelt appreciation of a community of those who loved and supported them for standing strong to protect others. With broken hearts we owe you a debt that can never be paid.

There has been an outpouring of love and support shown by our community to support these families and our law enforcement heroes during this difficult time. Proving that the majority of us do support our heroes no matter what the media may try to portray. Several organizations stood in solidarity to do what they could to show support in many ways. The Jess Rousey Honoring Foundation had a great crowd join us for dinner on two separate nights in October at Texas Roadhouse in Hiram where the restaurant pledged 10% of the tabs from both nights which was then matched dollar for dollar by our foundation generating a significant donation to go directly to the Koleski and Ervin families.

2022 Year End Appreciation Events

Continuing our mission this holiday season to provide appreciation events for our heroes, the foundation sponsors and hosts Christmas and year end celebrations and parties for various units and teams within the Cobb Police Department and Paulding County Sheriff's Office. Events were held at various venues. We would like to thank Texas Roadhouse Hiram, Downtown Axe, and Carrabba's Italian Grill for partnering with us to provide memorable events, meals and gifts for these deserving heroes!
